Welcome to the very first post from the Goblin’s Brain! Why the goblin’s brain? Well, here at Zara Sea Games, we always have felt that goblins have got a bad rap in roleplaying games. They really seem to just exist as pathetic little sods just waiting to be hacked down by the first party of wannabe heroes who stumble into them, or as hapless minions doing the bidding of some nasty hobgoblin, sorcerer, or discount dark lord… and waiting to be hacked down.
It’s a hard knock life.
No one give goblins the credit they deserve. Sure, they’re mischievous and sneaky, and sure they want to do terrible things to adventurers. Wouldn’t you, since you know those big folks with the shiny swords who have just crashed into your hovel haven’t dropped by for a coffee klatch? Despite constantly been fed into a narrative meat grinder, goblins are survivors. And, of course, they set up Zara Sea Games. Which finally brings us to the point of this first post.
It is one exciting day here at Zara Sea Games! Our first products – The Lost Kingdom of Gardzyka and the Lands of the Zara Sea campaign setting and DP1: The Accursed Templom of Gyepu 5e module – are now available at DriveThruRPG at a truly ridiculous discount. You can preview at sample at that link, or download samples on this site.
There is still a lot of work to do, and expect much more in the near future. In addition to the next 5e modules in the “Dravan Parishes” series, you will see more on my favourite monsters, the gods of the Zara Sea, and… well, whatever strikes my fancy. You can expect updates on some of the best monsters in the Lost Kingdom of Gardzyka, including the Guta, the Thuluuthi, Elder Fey, and much more.
For those of you more interested in “Azathoth goes to Austria” and the “Twisted Spurwheel”, don’t despair. Those settings will have content posted by the new year.
We would really like to hear what you think of our first products. Good or bad, please leave your feedback below, or at DriveThruRPG.
